Whites

Michigan’s climate and soil make it one of the best states to grow and produce bright and aromatic white wines. Here at Fox & Hen Winery we grow a hybrid white grape named St. Pepin. While this is a lesser-known grape variety, it makes phenomenal wine similar to Riesling. It is extremely versatile in the winery where delicious off-dry to sweet wines with big tropical flavors can be made. It also can be made into an expressive sparkling wine.

Reds

We grow 3 varieties of red grapes: Marquette, Frontenac, and Petite Pearl. Each one of these grapes has their own unique abilities in the winery. Marquette is a lighter-skinned red which can be made into several styles of wine. We primarily use this grape to produce a rose’ wine. Frontenac is a bold, darker skinned variety with a relatively high acid content. Because of these characteristics we use it to produce a port-style wine that balances out well with some residual sugar. Petite Pearl is for the dry-red lovers out there. This grape makes highly complex dry red wines with an inky dark purple color.

Ciders

We offer ciders that are unique and extremely easy to drink! Our three mainstays are Blackberry, Strawberry, and Hopped Cider. From time to time we’ll have experimental small batch ciders on tap. Stop by to see what we’re pouring!

Food

We want to be a place that you can stay and hang out. We know that could mean you’ll get a little hungry. If you find yourself there, or just want to take your wine experience to the next level, we offer delicious and affordable charcuterie boards, chocolate, and snack flights.
